Free reader access terms
These terms are the plain-English house rules for free Reader Club access. They are here so you know what you are signing up for, how the protected chapters work, and how your reader information is treated.
The reader bargain
Free access to protected chapters is a reader benefit for people who subscribe to Elizabeth Ann West book-update emails. In return, I get to keep in touch with readers about new chapters, releases, direct editions, and book news.
Email and login
Access uses a working email address. If your email is new or needs reconfirmation, you receive a confirmation email before protected chapters unlock. Login uses secure email links instead of passwords, so please do not share your login link with anyone else.
Your information
Your Reader Club information is used only by me, Elizabeth Ann West, and the staff who help me run my author business. I do not sell, rent, trade, or farm out your reader information to advertisers or outside marketing lists. The practical services that help run email, hosting, analytics, and direct sales are explained in the privacy policy.
Mature content
Rated R books can contain mature romance content. You must be 18 or older and affirm that you want access before opening protected Rated R chapters.
Personal use
Reader access is for personal reading only. Please do not scrape, repost, resell, share around, or redistribute protected chapters or audio. Those files are for your own reading and listening.
Reader Club responses
Chapter ratings, reader names, avatars, and saved reading progress are logged-in Reader Club benefits. Please use a reader name that belongs to you and does not impersonate another person. Your email address is never shown publicly.
Access changes
Access rules, available chapters, direct-store links, and reader benefits can change as the site grows. If you unsubscribe from book-update emails, free access to protected chapters can also end because that access is a subscriber benefit.
Misuse
If an account is used to copy protected content, interfere with the site, impersonate someone, or otherwise abuse Reader Club access, I may limit or remove that access.
